Pivot Aerifier FAQ
How long does it take to do a fairway or an average par 4?
30–45 minutes, depending on length and conditions. This estimate assumes two machines operating
side by side on a par 4.
How many times do you dump per acre?
Dump as many times as needed based on conditions.
Does it dump after every pass?
No. Par 4 holes typically require dumping after 2–4 passes depending on length. Par 3 holes usually
require two dumps depending on size. Par 5 holes depend entirely on length.
What’s the holding capacity of the collection drum?
Capacity varies depending on soil texture and moisture content. An exact volume has not been
measured.
For how small it is, how much material can it actually hold?
Capacity depends on soil texture and moisture content. An exact amount has not been measured.
How much sand or debris does it hold before it needs to be emptied?
This varies based on soil texture and moisture content. No exact measurement is available.
How deep do the tines go?
3 inches. The machine pulls a core.
What’s the tine spacing?
4 x 4 spacing.
If it’s just punching holes, does that compact the soil instead of relieving it?
No. The Pivot Aerifier only pulls a core, which relieves compaction. It does not use a solid tine.
Does it throw the cores or dump them cleanly?
It pulls and collects cores with no mess. Material is dumped in controlled areas such as cart paths or
thin turf.
What makes this better than the one we already use?
Conventional aerators eject cores onto the surface, requiring additional labor to break down and
remove debris. The Pivot Aerifier removes material in a single pass while relieving compaction. There is
no cleanup, no mud issues, and no need for cart path restrictions. It is ground-driven with no PTO,
engine, or complex components, allowing operation at 5–7 mph with minimal maintenance.
How practical is it for 18 holes?
The Pivot Aerifier is not designed for use on greens.
How often do you verti-drain or aerify the fairways?
The Pivot Aerifier can be used year-round on fairways, tees, rough, and sports fields. This allows for
multiple aerification cycles per season.
Can we see the full process start to finish?
Yes. Full process videos are available upon request, just call Kevin at (817) 565-7982.
What type of grass is this used on?
It can be used on all turfgrass types.
Is it just a newer version of the Weidermann?
No. Pivot Aerifier solves the aeration step, but not the cleanup or labor problem that follows.
The Pivot Aerifier changes the workflow entirely. It pulls a true core, immediately captures it in the drum, and removes that material in the same pass. There is no top eject onto the turf, no secondary cleanup process, and no debris left to manage. You aerify and finish at the same time.
We’ve got one that looks almost identical.
Nope. The Pivot Aerifier is a one-of-a-kind, precision-engineered aerification system purpose-built to pull, capture, and remove cores in a single pass.
